Wenyuan Tang
BiographyWenyuan Tang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2008, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, the M.A. degree in Applied Mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, in 2010, 2014, and 2015, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University from 2015 to 2017. His research interests include electricity markets, data analytics and machine learning, and optimization for power systems. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board. He was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Power Engineering Letters from 2021 to 2022. He received the R. Ray Bennett Faculty Fellow Award in 2021, the NSF CAREER Award in 2022, and the Goodnight Early Career Innovators Award in 2023.
